The Autoimmune Protocol also called the Autoimmune Paleo or AIP diet, is a stricter version of the Paleo diet that aims to reduce the symptom of autoimmune disease by nourishing the body with nutrient-dense foods, supporting healthy gut function and eliminating potential food triggers.

On the Autoimmune Protocol, you will eliminate foods that are difficult to digest and promote inflammation such as:
grains,
seeds,
nuts,
legumes,
beans,
eggs,
coffee,
refined sugar and oils,
processed foods,
and dairy products.
While you will be eliminating many of the foods you are currently eating, you will be introducing other delicious foods such as:
vegetable smoothies,
nourishing soups,
pasture-raised meats,
organic produce,
salads,
bone broths, and
cultured foods
that will nurture an environment in which the body can heal.
Keep in mind the Autoimmune Protocol elimination is not intended to be followed forever. Once you give your gut adequate time to heal, you will begin reintroducing many foods you enjoy - normally after 30-90 days
